Mariana was born and raised in Portugal, where she studied veterinary medicine. Once Mariana was finished with her education, she started her career on the Caribbean Island of Curacao working with aquatic animals. After getting married, she moved to the United States and has been loving life in the Midwest. Mariana is a proud dog mom of Bo and her family's favorite activity is to explore nature, hiking and camping! Mariana joined the team at Pope Animal Hospital during the summer of 2022 and was quickly promoted to Lead Veterinary Technician. Mariana is devoted to training our technicians and assistants and maintaining all of our equipment, with a special interest in pet nutrition.
